Libertango and Devil May Care

Before i begin.....
NO MORE ASSIGNMENTS !!! WOot woot!!!
and i'm 3 weeks away from home..hehe.. =)

anyways, i realized it's been a while since i posted in my virtuosos category,
so here are some really performances/songs that i really like..

Song #1 Devil may care by Diana Krall..

it's not difficult to see why she's dubbed the Queen of cool eh?

Song #2: Libertango, written by Astor Piazzolla..they call him the king of Argentinian tango.

If i'm not mistaken, this should be the original arrangement and performed by YoyoMa, the cellist.
'Bond' also did a version of this song which i thought was totally rubbish.
But having said so, not all alternate renditions are bad, just check out this guitar duet (warning: long video)..

=)
btw, in the movie 'Scent of a Woman' and 'True Lies'..the music behind the tango scenes are composed by A.Piazzolla as well.
here's the tango scene from Scent of a Woman.

i personally think it's a beautiful movie.. watch it if you can =)

that's it! =)
